\nReiterating to continue their political and legal struggle for their constitutional rights, Fata Qaumi Jirga(FQJ) organized a grand anti Fata merger Jirga in Islamabad on Monday.
\nThe grand tribals Jirga was held at National Press Club in Islamabad which was attended by around two hundreds tribal elders,students, lawyers,ex-civil and military officers,journalists and tribal youth.
\nThe team of lawyers, led by advocate Suprime Court Anwarullah, briefed the grand tribal Jirga on the current status of the anti Fata merger case underway in the Suprime court. He also took suggestions from the Jirga members which would be inducted in the Fata case formally.
\nBrigadier Sayed Nazeer,Malik Bismillah Khan Kokikhel,Malik Muhammad Ali Khan of Bajaur,Malik Shakeel of Orakzai,Malik Yar Muhammad Khan of FR Peshawar, Malik Abdur Razaq of Landikotal,Mannawar Khan,tribal journalist Shehzad Afridi and Malik Tehmash Khan Shalmani spoke on the occasion. They categorically rejected the tribal areas merger took place on May 31, in 2018.
\nSpeaking on the occasion, Brigadier(R) Sayed Nazeer said that situation in merged districts were getting worsen day by day.
\nHe said until ex-Fata people were not taken as the prime stakeholders they would not accept any of the onesided decision taken.
\n\u201cTribals have completely rejected Local Government(LG)polls and showed the world that the government had forcefully merged tribal agencies without their consent and aspiration\u201d, said the ex-Army officer. He added that they have also challenged the illegal merger in Suprime Court.
\nHe said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf led government had made hollow promises with tribals but none of their promises yet fullfiled. He added that police and Potwari system were not acceptable to people in ex-Fata.
\n\u201cWe are loyal to Pakistan and beleive in the unity and solidarity of our country\u201d,Sayed Nazeer said. He said Khyber Pakhunkhwa and centre government compelling them to start their agitation.He said their political and legal struggle would be continued until the Fata merger decision not reversed.
\nFata Qaumi Jirga patron Malik Bismillah Khan Afridi said that the government not taking their legal and constitutional demands seriously. He said if their demands were not accepted they will launch long march from all tribal areas.
\nBismillah said political parties have did nothing for the deprieved tribal people but gain much on the name of 10 million tribals. \u201cA large number of schools and other state infrastructures had been destroyed in the past militancy and military operations in Fata but could not reconstructed so far\u201d,Bismillah Kokikhel said. He said land disputes took several lives due to Putwari system brought to merged districts. He demanded that FIRs lodged against twenty two hundred tribalsmen in Semi tribal area of Darra Adamkhel last week. He added that they want to end of courts and restoration of Jirga system in merged districts.
\nThe Jirga passed a resolution that they would conduct long march and sit-in in the first week of March in Islamabad if Fata old status not restored.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
