KP Minister for Higher Education Kamran Khan Bangash has said that research culture should be promoted so that our research is appreciated at International level.
\nHe further said that The main component of education is research and we are bringing it equal to top ranked Universities in the world
\nThese views were expressed by Provincial Minister for Higher Education Kamran Khan Bangash while presiding over the Senate meeting of University of Swat at Governor House, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Senate meeting had a two point agenda which was approved. MPA Sharafat Ali was also present in the meeting.
\nProvincial Minister for Higher Education Kamran Khan Bangash said that the Establishment Expenditure of the University of swat increased 152 million rupees in the last financial year, while the non-salary expenditure increased by 102 million rupees during the previous financial year. He said that the university’s own revenue has also come down by Rs 2 million this year which is a matter of concern for the university. The university of swat has to think that in which direction it is going and in which direction it wants to go, so that it can plan for its future and how to increase its profits instead of losses.
\nThe provincial minister said that the universities should review their performance every three years and submit a report to get an insight into their current situation.
\nThe provincial minister said that education should be the first priority of educational institutions and there should be no compromise on education.
