The Federal Minister for Defense Pervez Khattak said on Saturday Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would prove its power in the second phase of local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) as it had learned from their mistakes committed in the first phase.
\nPervez Khattak who has recently been named as the president of PTI in KP claimed that Jamiat-e -Ulema Islam Fazal (JUI F) wondered over the unexpected win in local body polls in the province.
\n\u201cPTI is still the largest political force in the country. It has won elections in 17 tehsils and is headed by Chief Minister Mehmood Khan. Most of the independent candidates are joining PTI, \u201c he claimed.
\nPTI KP president accepted that mistakes have been committed by its party leaders while awarding tickets in some districts.
\nPTI will carry out a clean sweep in remaining districts in the second phase of local body polls he added.
\nPervaz Khattak said that people have rejected many parties including ANP, PPP, PML-N and JI as they had to deliver in thier times.
