{"id":236830,"date":"2022-01-05T08:38:17","date_gmt":"2022-01-05T03:38:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=236830"},"modified":"2022-01-05T08:38:17","modified_gmt":"2022-01-05T03:38:17","slug":"dr-sharon-hanuks-appointment-as-principal-edward-college-peshawar-approved","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/dr-sharon-hanuks-appointment-as-principal-edward-college-peshawar-approved\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr Sharon Hanuk\u2019s appointment as principal Edward College Peshawar approved"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> PESHAWAR<br \/>\nThe Board of Governors on Tuesday named Dr Sharon Hanuk as the principal of the historic Edwards College Peshawar.<br \/>\nThe decision was taken in the BOGs meeting chaired by the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).<br \/>\nAccording to a handout issued by the Governor-House, the BOGs members scrutinized the documents of a total five candidates for the post.<br \/>\n However, three candidates Dr Sharon Hannock, Dr Farzand Masih and Obaid Simon appeared for an interview before the BOGs members.<br \/>\nInstead of postponing the matter further, the members approved Dr Sharon Hanuk for the post of principal of Edward College Peshawar.<br \/>\nOn this occasion, Farman said that the process of the appointment had been delayed due to several reasons, adding that finally the decision was taken on the basis of merit.<br \/>\nHe said that Diocese Lahore had decided to send a panel of five names but two meet the criteria set for the post.<br \/>\nThree candidates who appeared for the interview did not meet the set criteria were ousted from the selection process.<br \/>\nShah Farman said that from the very beginning it was the position that the principal of Edwards College would be from the Christian community.<br \/>\nThe meeting was attended by Provincial Minister for Higher Education Kamran Bangash, Special Secretary Higher Education, Commissioner Peshawar Riaz Mehsud, Bishop Humphrey Sarfraz Peter and other board members.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PESHAWAR The Board of Governors on Tuesday named Dr Sharon Hanuk as the principal of the historic Edwards College Peshawar.
