{"id":238206,"date":"2022-01-12T08:50:36","date_gmt":"2022-01-12T03:50:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=238206"},"modified":"2022-01-12T08:50:36","modified_gmt":"2022-01-12T03:50:36","slug":"govt-prepares-effective-national-science-technology-and-innovation-policy-2022-shibli","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/govt-prepares-effective-national-science-technology-and-innovation-policy-2022-shibli\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt prepares effective National Science, Technology and Innovation Policy 2022: Shibli"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> Islalmabad<br \/>\nMinister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz has said the government has prepared National Science, Technology and Innovation Policy 2022 for socio-economic development of the country.<br \/>\nSpeaking in a program of Radio Pakistan on Tuesday, Shibli Faraz said the policy will encourage import substitution and focus on bolstering exports.<br \/>\nHe said our aim is to take the country towards self-reliance for economic sovereignty of the country.<br \/>\nShibli Faraz said the country\u2019s exports should be around one hundred billion dollars in the period between 2025 and 2028.<br \/>\nHe added that the National Science, Technology and Innovation Policies were also framed in the past but these remained ineffective. He said our policy has an action plan to ensure its implementation.<br \/>\nShibli Faraz said we have created synergies amongst the relevant institutions for product development and innovation.<br \/>\nResponding to a question, the Minister for Science and Technology said a National Science Expo is being organized at Pakistan-China Friendship Center from 28th of this month to showcase innovative projects in the fields of science and technology. He said the last date for booking stalls at the expo is 15th January.<br \/>\nThe Minister for Science and Technology said the use of Electronic Voting Machines will change our whole electoral landscape. He said the EVMs will be used in the upcoming local government elections of the federal capital.
