\u2014Says no role of Sharif\u2019s family in future politics
\n ISLAMABAD
\nInterior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said fencing along the border with Afghanistan will be completed whilst taking on board the new Afghan set up.
\nTalking to the media persons in Islamabad on Friday, the Interior Minister said an area of twenty-six hundred kilometres has been fenced whilst the remaining twenty-one kilometres will also be completed.
\nThe Interior Minister said the present government inherited difficult economic situation and due to the loot and plunder of the past rulers, it had to approach the International Monetary Fund. He was confident that the rupee will appreciate against dollar in the days ahead.
\nSheikh Rashid said the government will not create any hurdle in the way of two separate marches being organized by the opposition parties. He, however, pointed out that local body elections are being held in the next four months whilst foreign dignitaries will also visit Pakistan in the month of March for the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers meeting.
\nTalking about country\u2019s political situation, the Interior Minister said that the PTI-led government will complete its constitutional tenure and will also return again for the next tenure.
\nAbout two separate marches announced by the opposition parties, Sheikh Rashid said the opposition has no vision to understand the prevailing situation of the country as they have selected the wrong time slot for holding protests.
\n\u201cThey should come to Islamabad but keep in mind the sanctity of the date they have chosen for their protest,\u201d the interior minister said and added that a military parade will be held on Pakistan Day besides the arrival of the representatives from OIC member states.
\nThe minister said that opposition parties were in a state of disappointment and stress as against their wishes, the present government was successfully running the state affairs. Sheikh Rashid Ahmad said that the Nawaz Sharif family has no role in the country\u2019s future politics, advising them to avoid the further wait for having any good opportunity.
\nHe said that no drastic change was happening in the country\u2019s politics without Nawaz Sharif and added that all \u2018four Sharifs\u201d had no further role in the politics. He once again invited Nawaz Sharif to return to Pakistan but added that he does not foresee the role of Nawaz Sharif in the country\u2019s politics in future.
\n\u201cIt is upto him [Nawaz Sharif] to return to Pakistan whenever he wanted however all four sharifs have no role to play in Pakistan politics,\u201d he said and added that the opposition wanted support from the same quarters who are supporting Imran Khan.
\n\u201cThe opposition has been saying since last year that PTI is going to lose power, but it should clear any misunderstanding about the government. Prime Minister Imran Khan is so lucky to have got such incompetent and ineffective opposition,\u201d he said.
\nHe said the present opposition had no vision to understand the prevailing situation and they had selected the wrong time for holding the protest. \u201cThey already lost their time and now they will get nothing but to spoil time
\nSheikh Rashid said, \u201cWe will welcome them and not stop them or take any action against their protests.\u201d He admitted a spike in inflation and said that recently they have diverted the prime minister\u2019s attention towards actions needed to counter the hike in prices of flour.
\n\u201cPeople have pinned higher hopes on Imran Khan that he will bring back the looted money of the country,\u201d he said.
