PESHAWAR
\nA group of foreign delegation comprising of diplomats and non-diplomats from Argentina, Spain, England, Morocco, and South Korea on Saturday visited the World Heritage site Takht-i-Bhai in Mardan district.
\nThe diplomatic delegation led by the provincial Minister for Food visited ruins and were briefed about historic Gandhara remains. The officials of the Directorate of Archeology gave a detailed briefing on the historical significance of archeology. The delegation was informed that now Takht-e-Bhai ruins became a part of world heritage list and considered one of most well-structured Buddhist monasteries.
\nThe delegation of foreign ambassadors included Lioboldo, Ambassador of Argentina, and Suh Sankpyo, Ambassador of South Korea. Mrs pyo, Manuel Durand, Ambassador of Spain, Morocco, Ambassador of Morocco, Muhammad Carmone, daughter of Carmone, Prime Minister Imran Khan\u2019s sister Rubina Khan, Iftikhar Shalawani, Brazilian Delegate Christina,England Delegate Sofia , US national Organizer Uzma, Afghanistan civil society persons.
\nDeputy Commissioner Mardan Habibullah Arif, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance Naik Muhammad, Director Archeology and Museum Dr Abdul Samad, DPO Mardan Dr Zahidullah and Site Officer Mian Wahab were also present on the occasion.
\n Atif Khan informed the participants that World Bank\u2019s 700 Million project in Takht Bhai Archeological site has been completed and now museum, souvenir shops, park, cafeteria and other facilities are being constructed in this with the 132 Million project budget.
\nA public park is being constructed on Ring Road in Mardan on an area of about 400 kanals. 3 playgrounds have been completed and a sports ground will be constructed in each union council throughout Mardan.
\nThe foreigner team termed the site as a masterpiece of historical architecture and expressed hope that they would definitely facilitate their nationals to visit Pakistan\u2019s Archeological sites in their respective countries and increase tourism links.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
