Minister for restoration, renovation of Sheikh Badin National Parks
\n PESHAWAR
\nFederal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur Tuesday said that PTI government had carried out record development work worth billions of rupees for the welfare of masses and development of the country and would continue to serve without any discrimination.
\nAddressing a public gathering in district DI Khan, he hoped that PTI would get overwhelming victory in the re-polling and second phase of local government elections in the province on the basis of its performance, adding that the people of DI Khan would give mandate to PTI candidate for city mayor Umar Amin Khan Gandapur on February 13.
\nHe assured to solve the problems being faced by the residents of DI Khan especially electricity supply and pavement of streets on priority basis.
\nThe Federal Minister said that PTI practically carried out development work in the district, adding that a huge amount of Rs 3 billion has been allocated for development of district Dera, out of which tenders for development works of Rs 2 billion have already been issued.
\nOn contrary, he said Maulana Brothers deliberately kept the district backward despite taking mandate several times.
\nMeanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Faisal Amin Khan Tuesday visited Sheikh Badin National Park in district DI Khan and directed Archaeology Department to restore and renovate the historic sites constructed by British rulers in 1860 for tourists attraction.
\nHe said that Sheikh Badin was among the 20 prominent national parks of the country and the government has allocated Rs 4 billion to restore its beauty and facilitation of local and foreign tourists.
\nHe said that as per the international standard the total area for a national park should be one thousand hectares while the area of Sheikh Badin National Park was 15540 hectares where 41 species of birds and over 100 varieties of different trees and plants exist.
\nHe deplored that past governments totally ignored this historic tourists\u2019 resort due to which the buildings and other constructions at the site got damaged.
\nOn the occasion Director Archaeology Dr Abdul Samad was also present and assured restore the beauty of the site.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
