Supreme Court (SC) has remarked media can not influence the court.
\nThe appeal pleas filed by the convicts Shah Rukh Jatoi and others against life imprisonment awarded to them in Shah Zeb murder case came up for hearing before a 3-member bench of SC presided over by Justice Maqbool Baqir Wednesday. <\/p>\n
At the inception of hearing Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail inquired how is health condition of Shah Rukh Jatoi. Shah Rukh Jatoi is in jail or otherwise. <\/p>\n
Latif Khosa counsel for Shah Rukh Jatoi told the court Shah Rukh Jatoi is in jail. <\/p>\n
Azam Nazir Tarar counsel for co-accused Ghulam Murtaza took the plea the media reports of treatment of Shah Rukh Jatoi have come on the way. Compromise was made seven years before but media now determines the case. <\/p>\n
Justice \tJamal Khan Mando Khail remarked while addressing lawyer Azam Nazir Tarar \u201c media can influence you not the court. Don\u2019t talk this way which is against the fact. <\/p>\n
The counsel Azam Nazir Tarar argued a three members bench of SC ordered to include terrorism clauses in the case. The decision of 7-member bench of SC came later and according to this decision this case is not related to terrorism. <\/p>\n
Justice Amin ud Din Khan remarked I could not read the file of this case being the cases re-scheduled. We will review all the points on next hearing. <\/p>\n
The court adjourned the hearing of appeal pleas for three weeks. <\/p>\n
It may be mentioned that the accused Shah Rukh Jatoi, Siraj Talpur and Ghulam Murtaza have filed appeal pleas in SC against their life imprisonment. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
