\nThe Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu Range, Syed Ashfaq Anwar, on Thursday said that any kind of misconduct and rudeness with the people would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
\nHe was speaking at a meeting held at the office of district police officer during his first visit to Lakki Marwat after taking over his charge.
\nEarlier, District Police Officer, Shahzada Umar Abbas Babar, and other senior police officials received him.
\nThe RPO laid a wreath at the memorial of Shuhada and prayed for the high ranks of the martyrs and planted a tree at the DPO office.
\nThe meeting was attended by DPO Umar Abbas Babar, SP Investigation Muhammad Shafiq Khan, DSP Headquarters Iqbal Momand, DSP Naurang Circle Muhammad Farooq, all SHOs Police Stations and Incharge Investigation Department, Line Officer, MTO, OHC, Incharge DSB, AGO Special Branch and RI \/ FRP.
\nThe RPO Ashfaq Anwar gave a detailed briefing to the participants regarding the challenges facing the Police Department in view of the overall security situation in the region and especially in Lakki Marwat district.
\nHe directed the participants to use all available resources to root out organised criminal gangs.
\n\u201cAll possible steps should be taken to provide a peaceful environment to the people of Lakki by tightening the noose around criminal elements\u201d, he maintained.
\nHe said that the elements disturbing the peace of Lakki Marwat district should be dealt with iron hands, adding, no concession should be made to anyone inside the chain.
\nHe said that the Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) should be involved in the affairs of the land and to ensure strict monitoring of hotel, inn, rental housing and suspicious activities.
\nIn the same way, he said, in order to solve the traffic problems of Naurang Bazaar and Lakki City in particular and to make a comprehensive and systematic plan of traffic, the business community of Naurang Bazaar and Lakki City, the journalist community and the esteemed area should be taken into confidence.
\nHe urged the participants to make public service their motto by performing their duties in accordance with the law, rules and code of conduct.
