\nFormer Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Senator Nehal Hashmi on Wednesday submitted an unconditional apology in the contempt of court case against him. According to details, the apex court has reserved the judgement after completing here of the case.
\nJustice Asif Saeed Khosa, who headed the three-member bench, said \u201cyou were going to make our life miserable on earth [as per your speech]\u201d, adding that \u201cwhatever you say to us is fine but you mentioned our children as well\u201d.
\nOn this the Murtaza the lawyer of Nehal Hashmi has stated that now (Nehal Hashmi) put himself to the mercy of the court and submitting an unconditional apology from the court.
\nNehal Hashmi, in his reply submitted to the court, had stated: \u201cIf the court feels that I have committed contempt, I apologise.\u201d Justice Asif Saeed Khosa asked, \u201cWhat does he [Hashmi] mean by \u2018if\u2019?\u201d At this, Hashmi\u2019s counsel said he apologized unconditionally on his client\u2019s behalf.
\nJustice Khosa admonished the former PML-N leader\u2019s conduct, saying: \u201cNehal Hashmi is a lawyer. He should act with restraint.\u201d Hashmi, following orders, offered the court an unconditional apology in writing and left it to the institution to decide his fate. The court then reserved its judgement on the case.
\nThe Supreme Court had early served him a contempt notice for his controversial remarks, reportedly aimed at the apex court which was conducting the Panama Papers case trial at the time.
\nIt was worth mentioned here that Hashmi, in a speech to workers in Karachi at a Youm-e-Takbeer event, on May 31 had threatened the prime minister\u2019s unidentified \u2018enemies\u2019. \u201cThe one you are investigating is the PM\u2019s son,\u201d roared Hashmi.
\nWithout identifying who he was referring to, Hashmi said, \u201cYou will not be spared; you are in service now but remember you will retire tomorrow.\u201d \u201cThose investigating us [must know] we will observe your day of judgment,\u201d he stated further.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
