Peshawar \u2013 January 29 (ONLINE): Peshawar High Court (PHC) has urged social networking app \u2018Tiktok\u2019 to abruptly block those who were uploading \u2018immoral\u2019 content through the video sharing app as the youth was getting \u2018severely affected\u2019 by it.
\nAccording to media reports, Peshawar High Court has issued a written order on the petition filed against the prevention of immoral content on Tiktok, stating that most of the young generation was being affected by immoral content on the app.
\nCourt\u2019s written order said that the court had issued instructions to the concerned authorities to stop the immoral content on Tiktok.
\nAccording to a report submitted by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), so far 2.9 billion immoral videos have been removed from the app. While 1,465,612 accounts sharing \u2018immoral\u2019 content have been blocked.
\nCourt said through its written order that it was told about action taken against those who share immoral content. \u201cAction is taken against those who share immoral content but they are not punished for which they violate again\u201d the court order states.
\n\u201cThe court appreciates the steps taken by PTA to remove immoral content from Tiktok, but the court wants PTA to continue this exercise and immediately block those who share immoral content\u201d the order further states.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
