{"id":24153,"date":"2018-01-25T07:39:57","date_gmt":"2018-01-24T21:39:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=24153"},"modified":"2018-01-25T07:39:57","modified_gmt":"2018-01-24T21:39:57","slug":"icj-fixes-deadline-for-india-to-file-written-reply","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/icj-fixes-deadline-for-india-to-file-written-reply\/","title":{"rendered":"ICJ fixes deadline for India to file written reply"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jadhav case<br \/>\nHAGUE<br \/>\nThe International Court of Justice (ICJ) has set separate deadlines for India and Pakistan for the filing of the written pleadings by them in the Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav case.<br \/>\nApril 17 and July 17 have been fixed as \u201ctime-limits\u201d for India and Pakistan respectively. 47-year-old Indian spy Jadhav was sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court on charges of espionage and terrorism in April last year.<br \/>\nSubsequently, a 10-member bench of the ICJ on May 18 restrained Pakistan from executing Jadhav till adjudication of the case.<br \/>\nThe principal judicial organ of the UN released a statement which said that the international top court authorized the submission of a reply by India and of a rejoinder by Pakistan in the Jadhav case. \u201cThe Court fixed 17 April 2018 and 17 July 2018 as the respective time-limits for the filing of these written pleadings,\u201d said the statement issued last week.
