{"id":241810,"date":"2022-02-01T09:11:51","date_gmt":"2022-02-01T04:11:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=241810"},"modified":"2022-02-01T09:11:51","modified_gmt":"2022-02-01T04:11:51","slug":"hammad-for-early-completion-of-tapi-gas-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/hammad-for-early-completion-of-tapi-gas-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Hammad for early completion of TAPI gas project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> ISLAMABAD<br \/>\nFederal Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar has reiterated Pakistan\u2019s commitment to the flagship Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project and stressed the need for the earlier completion of the TAPI project.<br \/>\nHe made the remarks while talking to a high level delegation of Turkmenistan led by Deputy Foreign Minister Vepa Hajiyev who called on him here on Monday.<br \/>\nDuring the meeting, they discussed various aspects of the flagship TAPI gas pipeline as well as the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) power transmission line.<br \/>\nMinister Hammad Azhar reiterated Pakistan\u2019s commitment to TAPI project and stresses the need to expedite the project. The same devotion to the multi-lateral project is expressed from Turkmenistan\u2019s side.<br \/>\nHammad further expressed the resolve of the Government of Pakistan for early completion of the TAPI project on account of Pakistan\u2019s need for additional supplies of natural gas. He requested the Turkmenistan side to take all steps for early completion of the project.<br \/>\nPakistan agreed to hold the meeting of the technical working group on the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) power transmission line in a week that will work around the pre-feasibility parameters of the project.<br \/>\nIt is decided that a meeting of the technical working group on TAPI will be held today (Tuesday) to propose the future roadmap given the changed dynamics of the project.<br \/>\nThe Turkmenistan\u2019s delegation also included Chairman of the Board and CEO TAPI Pipeline Company Limited Muhammetmyrat Amanov;<br \/>\nHead of the Department of International Power Projects in the direction of Turkmenistan \u2013Afghanistan-Pakistan, Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan M. Artykov; Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atadjan Movlamov; Chairman of the concern Turkmenenergogurlushyk N.
