Therefore, Pakistan should learn from the Chinese model to cope with poverty and improve its economy. This was said by Muhammad Shakeel Munir, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce &#038; Industry while addressing as chief guest an event organized by prominent businessman Muhammad Saleem Mughal to celebrate Chinese New Year. Jamshaid Akhtar Sheikh Senior Vice President, Muhammad Faheem Khan Vice President ICCI, Muhammad Naveed Malik former Senior Vice President, Ashfaq Chatha and many Pakistani and Chinese nationals were present at the occasion.<br \/>\nMuhammad Shakeel Munir said that Chinese annual imports were around USD 246 billion in December 2021, but Pakistan\u2019s share in them was less than USD 3 billion, which was quite negligible and stressed that the Pakistan business community should fully capitalize on the revised FTA with China to promote exports to this huge market of over 1.4 billion people.<br \/>\nICCI President said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan was leaving for China on a four-day visit, during which he will attend the Winter Olympics 2022 in Beijing besides holding bilateral meetings with President Xi Jinping and premier Li Keqiang. He said that the Pakistan Prime Minister will also meet with prominent business leaders of China and hoped that this visit would contribute towards further strengthening the bilateral trade and economic relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>China has reportedly uplifted over 700 million poor people from poverty since its reform and opening up in late 1970s and has become the second largest economy in the world in a short span of time.
