The election commission on Sunday sent the letter to the KP chief secretary and directed him to take departmental action against Maulana Fazl\u2019s brother Ziaur Rehman who is a government employee. The younger Rehman participated in the Feb 3 election campaign of Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam (Fazl). He spoke in favour of Kafeel Nizami, the party\u2019s candidate for mayorship of Dera Ismail Khan tehsil. According to the ECP, it\u2019s a violation of election act that any government official either takes part in elections or participates in election campaign. It has called upon the provincial chief secretary to launch a departmental action against Mr Ziarur Rehman.
