Taking suo motu action on complaints of non-registration of workers by EOBI, the Federal Ombudsman summoned Chairman EOBI and Secretary Overseas Pakistanis for hearing. He asked Chairman EOBI to ensure formulation of a well-structured mechanism to ensure registration of employees by employers under the EOBI Act, 1976 and also to take measures for efficient administration and coordination between EOBI and registrable employers.  He called the Chairman EOBI to his office on 9th February, 2022 to inform that poor people were running from pillar to post to get their pension.
