\nFormer president and Pakistan People\u2019s Party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has said that the PPP stands with the Opposition over tabling of a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
\nThe assurance from ailing Asif Ali Zardari came after Maulana Fazlur Rehman approached him via telephone. According to sources, Zardari said that the entire opposition stands united over the no-confidence move against the incumbent government.
\nOn this occasion, Maulana Fazl said they will soon launch efforts to contact allied parties of the government.
\n\u201cWe will soon be approaching the coalition partners of the government,\u201d Fazlur Rehman said as he also inquired after the health of Asif Ali Zardari and prayed for his early recovery.
\nThe two, according to sources, also discussed other matters related to the developing political situation.
\nThe PDM president also prayed for the good health of the PPP Co-Chairman.
\nAsif Ali Zardari said that PPP is with other opposition parties on the issue of no-confidence motion against the incumbent government while PDM head said that all government allies will soon be contacted to get their support for the motion.
\nEarlier, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has termed the PDM decision to introduce a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan a victory for democracy.
\nIn a post on Twitter, Bilawal while reacting to the PDM\u2019s decision of bringing about the motion said: \u201cIt is a victory for democracy that most opposition parties now agree to bring a no-confidence motion against the government. The PM has lost the confidence of the people and it is about time he lost the confidence of Parliament.\u201d
\nEarlier, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) announced to bring a no-trust move against the government led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and decided to initiate contacts with the coalition parties.
\nThe summit of the opposition alliance, PDM has decided to bring a no-trust move against PTI government after making a ground for its success besides constituting a delegation to contact the ally parties of the incumbent government.
\nAfter chairing the PDM summit meeting, Maulana Fazlur Rehman made the announcement of bringing a no-trust move. He said that it was not beneficial to fight with the opposition on two fronts. He added that everyone needs to show openheartedness for building consensus.
