\nPakistan People\u2019s Party (PPP) former president Muhammad Humayun Khan has said its party would secure majority seats in the second round of local body elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
\nIn a statement, Humayun Khan claimed that PPP popularity in the province has increased and its party would secure majority seats across KP, adding that the incumbent government failed on all fronts due to its unwise economic policies.
\nPPP former KP president said that people in general elections would reject Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as it had failed to control inflation and increased unemployment in the country.
\nHe accused the PTI government for planning on privatization of government departments, adding that the move would lead to more unemployment and uncertainty among the masses.
\nHumayun Khan said that the incumbent government was creating more hurdles for already poverty stricken people.
\n\u201cThe government should reduce its lavish expenditures as the economic policy of the rulers in the government is not clear to what extent they want to take the country,\u201d he added.
