CM-KP bans mobile phones from cabinet meetings
\n PESHAWAR
\nThe Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) cabinet is all set to meet for its 66th sitting on Tuesday (today) with a short nine point agenda focusing on appointment of deputy commissioners of Newly Merged Districts (NMDS) as justice of peace and approval of annual budget (2021-22) of Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority.
\nThe cabinet meeting to be chaired by Chief Minister Mehmood Khan is expected to approve authorization of allowances to Ombudsperson KP.
\nThe cabinet is also supposed to approve \u2018Khyber Pakhtunkhwa E-Stamp Rules, 2021 and establishment of a police station in Misri Banda, district Nowshera.
\nThe cabinet will also consider transfer of land in Mouza Mahal Terai measuring 10-Kanal to the provincial fisheries department.
\nOne of the most important agendas which the cabinet is likely to approve in the upcoming meeting is the approval of \u2018Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Overseas Pakistanis Commission Bill, 2022.
\nThe KP cabinet will also consider approval of the \u2018Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Resolution of Commercial dispute Bill, 2021. It may be mentioned here that CM-KP Mahmood Khan has imposed a ban on mobile phones during cabinet sessions. Ministers, Advisors, Assistants and all other concerned secretaries of government line departments will now be forced to leave their portable devices at the door when they join the scheduled provincial cabinet meeting, said a handout issued by the administration department here on Monday.
\n\u201cNo participants of the meeting shall be allowed to bring along any electronic devices (including cell phones) to the cabinet meetings,\u201d the notification stated.
\nIt said that outsiders and visitors will also be strictly prohibited from roaming around the cabinet premises during the cabinet meetings.
