Fawad says balloon of opposition hollow claims to be punctured
\n ISLAMABAD
\nInterior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said that the no-confidence motion that the opposition parties\u2019 coalition is trying to bring against the incumbent government will turn into a \u201cmotion of ease\u201d for Prime Minister Imran Khan after its failure.
\nThe minister said this while talking to a private television channel, challenging the opposition to bring the no-trust motion against the PTI-led government.
\n\u201cThey have been shouting about the no-confidence motion for two months but they should finally convene the assembly session and table a requisition to introduce the no-trust motion. These people used to say that that they [army] are not neutral but now even the opposition is claiming that they are neutral […] but nothing in this world is neutral,\u201d says Rashid.
\nHe said that defeat is the opposition\u2019s fate, as he referred to the failure of a no-trust motion against former prime minister Benazir Bhutto by a 12 votes margin. \u201cThey [Opposition] will lose with the same number of votes and the no-trust move will become a move of ease for Imran Khan,\u201d the minister said.
\nRashid went on to say that the Opposition doesn\u2019t have a future plan and that means they want to bring a \u201ctechnocrat\u201d government in the country. If they get successful, it will create many problems for the country, he added.
\nMeanwhile, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday said that the opposition will return to their homes along with their failed efforts to overturn the incumbent government and the balloon of its hollow claims will be punctured.
\nTaking to Twitter, Fawad said the 48 hours ultimatum given by Fazlur Rehman and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari proved to be a wooden horse with no value. He further stated that PM Imran Khan will make important visits after the conference of OIC Council of Foreign Ministers scheduled to be held this month.
\nEarlier on Saturday, Defence Minister Pervez Khattak claimed that over 15 Opposition members would go \u201cmissing\u201d on the day the no-confidence motion is presented before the National Assembly.
\nAddressing a rally in his home district, the senior PTI leader claimed that the Opposition would face \u201cembarrassment\u201d when they would present the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan in the Parliament.
