\nThe General Secretary (GS) of Imamia-Jirga Brigadier retired Sirtaj Qazalbash on Monday said that the suicide attack on Jamia-Masjid during Friday prayers has claimed at least 70 lives and injured 100 in which most were in critical condition and hospitalized.
\nIn a statement issued by the Imamia-Jirga appreciated the services made by the people of Peshawar after the attack, adding that the representatives of the minority community extend thanks to the residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for their condolences and sympathies.
\nHe said that the Shiite community across the country united and would not be divided and gave the message of peace and tolerance after their mosque bombed by terrorist in the provincial capital.
\nThe representatives also said that the attack on Shiite community mosque was carried to create sectarian differences among Sunni and Shia communities but everyone saw that they were united in time of need.
\n Sirtaj Qazalbash shared that \u201cWe are all brothers. No one can separate us. We are satisfied with the investigation process\u201d.
\nHe demanded of the provincial government to provide protection to all places of worshipers including the mosques Shia communities in the province.
\nHowever, we deemed it necessary that the government should take pragmatic steps and launch a speedy investigation to reach the real culprits of the attack on Peshawar mosque in Kocha-e-Risaldar.
\nThe GS of Imamia-Jirga no one would be allowed to disrupt the peace of the country, adding that they would continue their rituals and prayers without any fears and pressure, adding that community would also abide by the law of the country in letter and spirit.
