{"id":248820,"date":"2022-03-11T09:20:05","date_gmt":"2022-03-11T04:20:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=248820"},"modified":"2022-03-11T09:20:05","modified_gmt":"2022-03-11T04:20:05","slug":"pmc-c-map-signs-mou-to-work-on-mental-health-issues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/pmc-c-map-signs-mou-to-work-on-mental-health-issues\/","title":{"rendered":"PMC, C-MAP signs MoU to work on mental health issues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> PESHAWAR<br \/>\nPeshawar Medical &#038; Dental Colleges (PM&#038;DC) and Center for Mental Health Advocacy &#038; Promotion (C-MAP) on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly promote and advocate the cause of mental health and thus contribute towards SDGs commitment.<br \/>\nOn behalf of PM&#038;DC the dean PMC, Dr Hafeez ur Rahman and Chief Executive C-MAP Dr Muhammad Idrees signed the agreement.<br \/>\nAccording to the details C-MAP intended to visualize the creation of a future where mental health issues were duly recognized, taken care of, and responded to by all in a community.<br \/>\nBoth institutes agreed on modeling of the culture based, integrated and holistic approaches for people with mental health ailments, said a handout.<br \/>\nThe PMC and C-MAP will pioneer the creation of problem specific peer groups of the people with mental health issues.<br \/>\nTheir caregivers by facilitating and enabling them benefit from mutually shared experiences that are evidence based and scientific.<br \/>\nBoth the organization will jointly organize mental health awareness events and programs for various segments of the society.<br \/>\nA mental health library and resource center as well as a \u201cPublic Mental Health Think-tank\u201d for the mental health professionals, and target communities would also be established to discuss and deliberate upon high stake public mental health issues.<br \/>\nThey also decided to have their inputs for advancement of the center and its areas of focus.<br \/>\nLiaising, networking and promoting the cause of public mental health through communication, mobilization and advocacy with the academia, research institutions, communities, community elders, opinion, and decision makers at various levels were other aspects of the agreement<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PESHAWAR Peshawar Medical &#038; Dental Colleges (PM&#038;DC) and Center for Mental Health Advocacy &#038; Promotion (C-MAP) on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly promote and advocate the cause of mental health and thus contribute towards SDGs commitment.
