Horse-trading is being carried out openly, says interior minister
\n ISLAMABAD
\nAmid high political temperature in the country, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said on Thursday that he has suggested Prime Minister Imran Khan to impose Governor rule in Sindh.
\nTalking to media outside the Prime Minister House after meeting PM Khan, Sh Rashid said he has advised PM Khan to impose governor rule in Sindh (to counter the no-confidence motion in the centre).
\n\u201cI have advised PM Imran Khan to impose governor rule for the way the money has been used indiscriminately to buy the conscience of the people,\u201d the Interior Minister said He said he has conveyed his message to PM Khan and had left the meeting.
\nSh Rashid\u2019s statement came after the exposure of the PTI MNAs presence in Sindh House and a hint given by Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary that government may take strong action over the alleged horse-trading being conduct in Sindh House.
\nHe said they were not sending police in Sindh House or taking any action there. He alleged those PTI MNAs present in the Sindh House have changed loyalties after receiving money and it is a matter between them and the people of their constituencies.
\nHowever, he said he is leaving for home after advising the PM to impose Governor Rule in Sindh. \u201cNo action would be taken at the Sindh House, adding that the people who went to Sindh House against the government have been exposed,\u201d he remarked.
\nThe interior minister said a large number of people will reach Islamabad\u2019s D-Chowk to attend Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf\u2019s public rally. Earlier, a number of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNAs hiding at Islamabad\u2019s Sindh House appeared on the screen.
\nTalking to the media, PTI MNA, Raja Riaz, a member of Jahangir Tareen like-minded group said they have taken shelter at the Sindh House after the recent incident of Parliament Lodges.
\nAmid the ongoing war of words between the government and Opposition over the no-confidence motion, the incumbent government and opposition parties have agreed over bringing down political temperature in wake of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting in Islamabad.
\nThe meeting of OIC\u2019s Council of Foreign Ministers is being held on March 22-23 in Islamabad. Foreign ministers of 48 countries have confirmed their participation in the event.
