PESHAWAR: Chairman, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) Muhammad Faiq Shah has stated that 23rd March is a milestone status in history of our country. He said the Lahore resolution had united Muslim of \u2018sub-continent\u2019 a greater objective. The sacrifices that rendered by father of the nation, Qaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and thinker of Pakistan, Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal and leaders of Tehreek e Azad [freedom movement] had paved way for attaintment of a separate and independent homeland, says Faiq, in his message on eve of commoorating 23rd March, [Pakistan\u2019s Day] here on Wednesday. He stressed that the secret of Pakistan\u2019s progress, stability and prosperity lay in nurturing harmony, unity and tolerance by adopting democratic values and traditions. Our Correspondent
\n\u201cWe as the sovereign and independent nation must renew the pledge on this auspicious occasion that to follow footprints of our forefathers and great leaders to make Pakistan as superior state,\u201d
\nShah said: \u201cWe should prayer from Allah the al-mighty and creator of the whole world, to put the Pakistan as path of sustainable progress and prosperity and also make it cradle of peace\u201d,
\nHe emphasized that to think about the future after looking upon the past deeds, besides gaining achievements, we must hold analysis on weaknesses as well, he added.
\nFaiq said that Pakistan came into existence as a result of countless and unmatched sacrifices. He repeatedly said the secret of our country\u2019s progress and prosperity hides in fostering democracy.
\nWe cannot gain due respect in the rest of the world until ensuring rule of law and justice in the country, says ATP chief.
\nLater, addressing a function held at the party central secretariat in fedral capital, on connection with Pakistan\u2019s Day, Mr Shah said our history direction has been changed after adopotin of objective resolution on March 23, 1940 under the dynamic and charismatic leadership of Qaid E Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
\nDespite the severe opposition and hardship, the ATP chief said the dream of an independent homeland had come true of our forefathers.
\nToday, he noted a huge responsibility has come to the youth that they should equip themselves with modern technology and knowledge to compete with the rest of the world and play their due role in the country\u2019s progress and prosperity.
\nYouth can lead from the front in future to sustain the tempo of progress, Shah stressed. He pinned high hopes from the country\u2019s youth that they would do hard-work day and night, and will pull out Pakistan from the rank of underdeveloped nations to developed.
