\nSenior Member Board of Revenue, Babar Hayat Tarar has said that a digital system has been introduced to keep an updated record of girdawari (crop inspection) for the first time in the history of Punjab.
\nTarar said this while presiding over a meeting to review the progress on digitisation of girdawari. DG Punjab Land Records, DG PDMA, secretary revenue and director Land Records, additional director general Punjab Land Records and Director PDMA attended the meeting.
\nTarar said that the process of digitisation of girdawari through the app is a milestone. He added that on-spot verification of digital girdawari in the field would eliminate fake entries and significantly reduce cases and disputes in the courts.
\nHe said the digital girdawari has ensured the protection of farmers\u2019 interests. Tarar said that digitisation of the revenue system has been adapted keeping in view the modern requirements.
\nThe meeting also reviewed the completion of digitisation of all the roznamchas in the revenue system across the province. Separately, Babar Hayat Tarar said during a major operation against land mafia, 224 acres and 13 marlas of state land has been retrieved in Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Rahim Yar Khan and Sahiwal districts.
\nHe said the land valuing over Rs424 million has been retrieved during the last 48 hours with the assistance of concerned deputy commissioners.
\nTarar said that the goal is to retrieve all remaining state land across the province as soon as possible and so far more than 191,836 acres of land, worth Rs484.91 billion, has been retrieved. This includes about 4,245 acres of urban state land, worth Rs67.32 billion, and 187,592 acres of rural state land, worth more than Rs417.60 billion, he added. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
