\nPakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari wasted no time while taking the floor and warned the Speaker that he would violate Constitution and commit contempt of court if he did not hold voting on the no-confidence motion.
\nSpeaking in the National Assembly on Saturday, Bilawal roared at the treasury benches, telling them that Niazi was violating the Constitution and the court\u2019s order. \u201cYou cannot take up anything else except for what is on the agenda. Not only you, the speaker also did the same,\u201d Bilawal told the noisy government lawmakers.
\nBilawal maintained that this was not the first time the court had set aside the speaker\u2019s ruling.
\nTurning his guns on Prime Minister Imran Khan, a belligerent Bilawal said that the premier was breaking the law on his way out of office. \u201cIf you want to be involved in it, then it\u2019s your choice. But I had warned the prime minister to stay away from the man speaking before me,\u201d he said, referring to Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
\nThe PPP chairman alleged that Qureshi was responsible for Imran Khan\u2019s troubles, again calling for a vote to be held on the no-confidence motion. \u201cIf you don\u2019t come to today\u2019s agenda, then you should know that the opposition will not leave […] we will snatch our constitutional rights from you.\u201d
\nBilawal Bhutto, who spoke after Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, said that \u201cI had warned Imran Khan that the man speaking before me (Qureshi) will lead you towards destruction\u201d.
\nBilawal Bhutto was of the view that he feels Imran Khan shouldn\u2019t heed to advice from people who are urging him to take unconstitutional moves will lead him towards destruction.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey aren\u2019t sincere with you, Mr Khan, they don\u2019t want to see you in
\npower or in politics,\u201d said Bilawal adding that resorting to such moves
\nmay leave him ineligible to do politics or contest elections in
\nPakistan.<\/p>\n
The PPP chairman said that the government had lost its majority in the
\nassembly and then they could see the \u2018conspiracy letter\u2019. \u201cWe can debate
\non the foreign conspiracy for 100 days but first hold the vote,\u201d he
\nadded.<\/p>\n
Bilawal Bhutto categorically rejected the government\u2019s claim that the
\nno-confidence motion is backed by a foreign country and said that the
\nopposition and especially his party was contemplating the move for
\nmonths.<\/p>\n
Bilawal alleged that the government had told several lies in this whole
\nsaga. The supposed conversation took place on March 7 and the
\nno-confidence was presented on March 8, he said, adding \u201cBut there is a
\ntime difference between Pakistan and America which means that the
\nno-trust move was presented as the conversation was underway.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bilawal warned the NA Speaker Asad Qaiser and the Panel of Chair Amjad
\nNiazi that by delaying the voting on no-confidence vote, he is not only
\nviolating the Constitution of Pakistan but is becoming guilty of
\ncontempt of court by not following Supreme Court\u2019s orders in the case.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
