\nAll necessary arrangements have been made for holding the by-elections on April 17, 2022 in a peaceful and transparent environment in NA-33 Hangu, said a handout issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) here on Thursday.
\nAccording to ECP a total of 210 polling stations have been set up including 64 male, 55 female and 91 combined polling stations,while a total of 3,18,919 registered and eligible voters will exercise their franchise and cast votes in the polling in which the number of female voters is stated to be 1,38,375.
\n\u201cPolice and Frontier Constabulary troops are being deployed to conduct the election in a peaceful atmosphere and keep tight security during election day while Pakistan Army is being kept on standby to deal with any emergency situation\u201d, it said.
\nThree separate control rooms have been established in Islamabad, Peshawar and Hangu which will open and continue to operate from 7 a.m. on polling day until preliminary results are compiled\u201d.
\nAt the local level, the control room will have Deputy Commissioners, Police and FC officials and their competent representatives who will be able to play their effective role in taking timely and immediate steps to deal with any emergency situation.
\nIt is worth mentioning here that these by-elections were to be held on April 10, 2022, but due to the dissolution and subsequent restoration of the National Assembly, polling for the by-elections in NA-33 Hangu will now take place on April 17, 2022.
\nMeanwhile, electoral activities for the by-elections to the vacant National Assembly seat in NA-33 constituency of Hangu District have reached its peak. A tough and exciting competition is expected between the three candidates of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Fazalur Rehman (JUI-F), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Awami National Party (ANP) during bye elections in NA-33, Hangu.
\nApart from JUI-F\u2019s Akhunzada Mufti Obaidullah, PTI\u2019s Nadeem Khayal and Awami National Party (ANP)\u2019s Syed Omar, two independent contenders Atiq Ahmed and Mohammad Saeed are in the run to win the National Assembly seat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
