\nThe Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Saturday announced schedule of election on different seats that were suspended due to deaths candidates in the second phase of local body elections in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP).
\nAccording to a notification issued by ECP polling will be taking place on May 22, 2022, adding that the districts where polling will held include the tribal districts of Kurram, North Waziristan and South Waziristan as well as Abbottabad, Mansehra, Malakand and Lower Dir.
\nAccording to the notification nomination papers for the seats will be submitted from April 20 to April 23, 2022 and initial list showing the names of the candidates will be published on April 25 while the scrutiny of the papers will be held from April 26 to 28.
\nAppeals against the acceptance and rejection of the papers can be filed from April 29 to 30 while the tribunal will decide on these appeals by May 9, 2022.
\nThe revised list of candidates will be published on April 10 whereas the candidates will be able to withdraw their papers till May 11, after which the final list of candidates will be published and election symbols will be allotted accordingly.
\nPolling will be held on May 22, 2022 in the districts where polling was postponed due to death of candidates under the second phase of local body elections. According to the commission, the districts where polling will take place include tribal districts of Kurram, North Waziristan and South Waziristan, besides Abbottabad, Mansehra, Malakand and Lower Dir, where candidates for general, youth, labor and women seats in village councils have died and the election process was stopped.
\nAccording to the available details, election will be held on peasant\/worker seat at two Village Councils (VC) Badama and Bisato in Kurram, General Council in VC Haider Khel in North Waziristan, General Council in VC Kanigurm-1 in South Waziristan General Council, Yout council in Neighborhood (NC) Havelian Urban-I in Abbottabad, Women in Neighborhood Council Sain Abad in Mansehra, General Council in VC Mekhband in Malakand and Peasant\/worker in VC Daroo in Lower Dir.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
