Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif has said the former Prime Minister (PM) may have been be embarrassed on my becoming the PM but the embarrassment of people has come to end. <\/p>\n
\u201c If the former PM gets unnerved then let him be worried. But I will continue to work at the pace to which I am accustomed to\u201d, he said this while addressing inauguration ceremony of Orange Line Metro Bus Service from Peshawar Morr to New Islamabad International Airport Monday. <\/p>\n
He held that metro bus project will be extended upto Rawat. No ticket will be charged to those travelling in this bus service during the holy month of Ramadan. At least 50000 citizens will benefit from this bus service. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe are grateful to China and Turkey regarding this project. This project remained suspended for the last four years. Its estimate was 16 billion rupees. This gift was given by Nawaz Sharif to the inmates of Islamabad in 2017. This project was to become operational in 2018 but unfortunately this project and several other projects like this was delayed due to change of government.
\nHe also asked the Chinese side to reconsider Karachi Circular Railway project as this will bring great dividends for the people of Karachi. He said China is a great friend which has always stood by Pakistan and contributed immensely to building Pakistan’s economy. He said the CPEC is a game changer project.<\/p>\n
We have borrowed 15 buses from Punjab Transport Authority (PTA) in connection with this project, he added. <\/p>\n
The former PM may have been unnerved due to my fast paced work but people worries have come to end, he remarked. The 4-year project which was passing through death like situation has been inaugurated by me within four days. Thousands of commuters will benefit from this project.
\n He went on to say had former rulers realized the woes of the people this project would not have not been delayed for four hours. Former PM used to come and go by helicopter at the fare of Rs 55 per kilometer. The ministers had bullet proof and cozy cars. They were not concerned to it that the poor people have to take their children to schools, their parents to hospitals or they have to go to their working places. <\/p>\n
He underscored \u201cwhen I was chief minister Punjab then PTI lawyers got delayed the Lahore metro project for more than one year. The PTI lawyer said crying full throated corruption of billion of rupees has been committed.
