\nSecretary Local Government and Rural Development Syed Zaheer-ul-Islam Shah on Wednesday while insisting on TMAs to ensure supply of clean and quality meat to the people, sought a report on the condition of slaughter houses. He said no negligence would be tolerated in this regard and indiscriminate steps would be taken to establish writ of the government. The newly appointed LG Secretary was getting a detailed briefing on various issues and schemes here at his office.
\nDuring the meeting, Secretary Local Government and Rural Development Syed Zaheer-ul-Islam Shah said the department is providing various services to the people including sanitation, clean drinking water, clean recreation opportunities in parks adding that every effort will be made to improve these facilities and incentives. If the condition of the slaughterhouses is not good then the supply of clean and quality meat is not possible as per the principles of hygiene. He directed for strict check on slaughter houses for ensuring provision of healthy meat to the general public.
