\nDirector General Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mahmood Aslam Wazir has said that crack down against drugs dealers were intensified, eradication of drugs from the province is the top priority. 102 kg of Hashish was recovered during a crackdown today. He further said that operation against drugs being extended to the whole province.
\nIn this connection, Mardan Excise Police Station foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of drugs to Punjab while recovered 102 kg (102000 gm) of hashish and the smuggler was arrested on the spot.
\nAccording to details, under the supervision of Masood-ul-Haq Excise and Taxation Officer (Counter Narcotics Operations) and on the instructions of Waheed Khan Circle Officer Peshawar and Mardan Region, Akif Nawaz SHO Excise Mardan Police Station along with other personnel carried out a major operation near Charsadaa Interchange Motorway.
\nDuring the operation the personnel signalled and stopped a car bearing No. NC 352 Islamabad.
\nDuring search of the car 102 kg (102000gms) of hashish was recovered from the secret cavities of the car.
\nMean while the accused\/ smuggler Ghulam Shabbir son of Muhammad Siddique resident of Faisalabad was arrested on the spot while a case has been registered against the accused in Excise Police Station Mardan for further investigation.
\nRegarding this successful major operation, Syed Haider Iqbal, Secretary, Excise Department, Mahmood Aslam Wazir, Director General, Excise Department and Salahuddin, Director, Narcotics Control, commended the recent successful operation of the personnel concerned and also announced a cash reward.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
