\nInformation Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Saturday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan is running a propaganda of an alleged conspiracy.
\nMarriyum Aurangzeb, while addressing a press conference today, said that Imran Khan sensed a conspiracy just after the coalition partners left his government. She questioned Imran Khan about the reason for hiding the diplomatic cable for so many days. Aurangzeb claimed that Imran Khan had looted the nation for four years and destroyed the economy. She responded to Khan\u2019s allegations, saying that he is consistently lying about a conspiracy and he should stop misguiding the nation.

She said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is expected to announce PTI foreign funding case soon. \u201cHe kept collecting funds for his political party by using the name of Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital,\u201d said the minister. \u201cIt is Imran Khan\u2019s failure for not introducing the election reforms.
\n\u201cNawaz Sharif is the political sphere of Pakistan now. The National Security Committee (NSC) has clarified that there was no conspiracy hatched against anyone.\u201d
\nEarlier in the day, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan demanded that the Supreme Court should conduct an open hearing into the matter relating to the \u201cthreatening\u201d diplomatic cable a day after National Security Committee affirmed its existence. She rejected a news item reported by a private TV channel about the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting, held earlier in the day. In a news statement, she termed the news \u201cconcocted\u201d, \u201cmisleading\u201d and against the national interest.
\nShe said the debate on the so-called regime change foreign conspiracy just got fizzle out after the release of NSC meeting\u2019s statement which made it clear that there was no conspiracy against the previous government.
\n Those who were trying to portray the ouster of government as conspiracy were, themselves, hatching a conspiracy against the country, she added.
\nAccusing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan of feeding fake stories to a section of media, she said former Pakistan ambassador to the United States Asad Majeed presented his stance before the meeting which carefully examined \u201ccontext\u201d and \u201ccontent\u201d of the telegram purportedly sent by him to the PTI government. \u201cAs [after the NSC meeting] the ambassador\u2019s position, context and intentions became clear, such news seems to be part of the negative politics,\u201d she maintained.
\nMarriyum said Imran Khan was using a section of media to spread fake news as his lies on the so-called conspiracy got fully exposed. Fake news was extremely harmful for the national interest, she added. She said those who spread such fake news after the statement of NSC meeting did no good to the country. The national interest was more important than the individuals. The minister lashed out at the PTI leadership for harming the national interest after their lie got exposed.
