\nChairman, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) Muhammad Faiq Shah has expressed grave concern over \u2018hours-long\u2019 and \u2018excessive electricity\u2019 loadshedding across the country.
\nShah while talking to a group of reporters here on Sunday noted no respite for the faithful in Ramazan as power outages have become excessive in the country.
\nHe held present and previous governments equally responsible for ill-planning to fulfill the growing energy needs that has rapidly escalated the electricity shortfall in the country.
\nThe ATP viewed it as a huge dilemma that Pakistan has a vast capacity of hydel power generation but the water and natural reserves were not efficiently utilized to overcome the energy crisis.
\nHe was astonished over remarks of the present rulers, in which blaming previous governments for ill-planning for addressing energy issues which had also remained in power in the past on several occasions.
\nShah noted every government had failed to provide 24\/7 electricity to consumers, only citing reasons for increasing power shortages\/shortfall amid rising summer demands and rising temperature.
\nIn hot and humid weather, Faiq asked \u201chow much extent will people tolerate the \u2018hours-long\u2019 and \u2018excessive electricity\u2019 loadshedding in the holy month of Ramazan?
\nHe warned that if the governments of all four provinces didn\u2019t work efficiently to provide relief to inflation-hit people of the country then they would face strict accountability from their side.
\nHe observed government unseen in all four provinces whereas mismanagement and lawlessness has reached its climax.
\nOn the other hand, he said the lives of people have been made miserable owing to excessive power outages and relentless \u2018price-hike\u2019, which had been imposed by governments, hoarders and illegal profiteers.
\nShah asked: \u201cWhat has been brought by the new government on its high-powered foreign visit and the brigade of ministers and special aides for poverty-stricken people\u201d?
\nEvery game, law and pressure is available for gaining power, he noted. He added no one is ready to give a bid for sacrifice for people, which has created anarchy in the society. Faiq observed the power has now become a revenge and war of interest.
\nHe questioned: \u201cWhen will we fight the battle for the rights of people\u201d?
\nThe ATP chief noticed mismanagement and lawlessness are proliferating rapidly in prevailing circumstances in the country.
