\nChairman, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) Muhammad Faiq Shah has demanded the direct participation of people in electoral process and power, saying that the public authority can only ensure establishing of the real democracy besides, issues would be also resolved by taking decisions under their authority.
\nHe emphasized the reforms in the electoral system are imperative that can pave the way for people to maximum public participation in power. He also called for reshaping the policies in the best interest of the country.
\nWe want public authority to foster real democracy, meant to get people away from their issues through their own authority, according to a statement issued here on Saturday, as Faiq is addressing party senior activists, office bearers and workers.
\nShah stressed it is essential that participation of every segment should be equally participated in order to bring collective wisdom wherein representation of every region, walk of life and institution to be ensured.
\nPrecious 75 years are wasted in family-limited and inheritance politics, Shah noticed, terming it as the worst form and example of dictatorship.
\nThe ATP chairman observed there is a sitting king in every Mohallah, town, region and city wherein no step was taken without his order and permission.
\nFurthermore, he assessed there was from top to bottom a nexus of mafia which has crushed all policies under their own feet.
\nWe want reforms in the electoral system and policies, he demanded. He said reforms would ensure direct participation of people in power.
\nThe party leader noted the system has become redundant and outdated in absence of reforms.
\nHe asserted to bring amendments as per increasing requirement and in context of present scenario in order to deliver in an efficient manner.
\nShah emphasized the need of promoting education, businesses, technical skills and modern industries by fulfilling responsibilities of the youth generation in the pattern of the latest and modern era.
\nOur political system has expired, the ATP chief observed.
\nHe added that new leadership wasn\u2019t appearing in the political arena as the same family-limited, pressure and rigging-hit system was reinstalled in the country.
\nThe ATP chairman viewed that public exploitation has proved harmful for the country.
\nTherefore, he stressed the need for the establishment of real democracy through electing new leadership, hoping that the new political leadership can bring real change in the country.
