\nOn account of Eid celebrations over 400,000 tourists visited Swat\u2019s scenic spots while 70 thousands tourists visited Upper Dir and 61 thousands tourists visited lower Chitral during Eid holidays.
\nThe district administration and Swat police made tremendous efforts to provide facilities to the tourists at the hill-stations in Fizaghat, Kalam and Malamjabba where Tourist Police have been launched and teams of other relevant departments deployed to facilitate the visitors.
\n\u201cApart from providing security at all the tourist points, police have been deployed since the first day of Eid to ensure smooth flow of traffic after receiving a huge number of tourists in Swat,\u201d District Police Officer Zahid Nawaz Marwat told Lead Pakistan .
\nAccording to media reports, over 9 lac tourists across the country and 622 foreign tourists\u00a0 visited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province while Swat received the highest number of tourists in the recent Eid days.
\nFrom the first day of Eid, Record number of tourists were seen in Malamjabba as 3, 22, 800 tourists visited the scenic spot while Kalam received more than 67 thousands tourists.
\nSimilarly 70 thousand tourists visited Kumrat Upper Dir and 58 thousand tourists visited Chitral\u2019s beautiful spots while 3 thousand tourists spent their Eid vacations in Upper Chitral.
\nApart from the police and district administration, civil defense as well as Rescue 1122 remained on the road in the tourist stations to provide treatment to the large number of visitors in case of an mergency.
