\nActing Ambassador of China in Islamabad, Pang Chunxue Tuesday called on Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, on Tuesday.
\nAccording to media reports talks were held on Pakistan-China relations and other issues of mutual interest.
\nThe two discussed steps taken to ensure the safety of Chinese nationals in Pakistan and to improve relations.
\nPang Chunxue extended congratulations to Rana Sanaullah on assuming the post of Minister of Interior.
\nPakistan and China agree to further enhance bilateral relations and provide visa facilitation for Chinese nationals.
\nThe Ministry of Interior reached agreement with the Chinese Embassy to enhance the security of Chinese citizens.
\nMinister of Interior Rana Sanaullah has expressed sorrow over the deaths of Chinese nationals at the Karachi University\u2019s terror attack.
\nRana Sanaullah went on to say Pakistan and China have enjoyed very close relationships, adding that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif considers China to be Pakistan\u2019s best and most trusted friend.
\n\u201cOur coalition government led by PM Shehbaz Sharif will take Pak-China relations to new heights\u201d, said Rana Sanaullah.
\nRana Sanaullah said: \u201cWe will not allow any internal or external conspiracy to spoil Pak-China friendship to succeed\u201d.
\nMinister of Interior said will definitely punish those involved in the terrorist incident at Karachi University.
\nRana Sanaullah said the state is using all its resources to ensure the safety of Chinese nationals in Pakistan, adding that foreign national security desk has been set up in the interior ministry.
\nThe purpose of setting up the desk is to ensure effective coordination to ensure the safety of foreigners in Pakistan, especially Chinese nationals, said Rana Sanaullah.
\nRana Sanaullah said the strong security arrangements have been made for Chinese residents working on CPEC projects.
\nThe Minister of Interior said the incidents like terrorism should not happen, adding that for them, coordination between the federal and the states is being made effective.
\nThe Government of Pakistan is grateful for the extraordinary care taken by the Chinese nationals, said Pang Chunxue.
\nPang Chunxue said China wants from the Pakistani authorities to fully investigate the terrorist incident in Karachi University and book the real culprits as soon as possible.
\nPang Chunxue said the friendship between Pakistan and China is everlasting, adding the process of China\u2019s assistance in Pakistan\u2019s development will continue.
