\nIslamabad police are committed to eliminate land grabbing mafia and drug peddling from the city.
\nIt was stated by the IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas while listening public complaints during khuli kacheri held at central police office.15 citizens and police officials attended the khuli kachehr.
\nThe IGP listened to the complaints of the citizens and directed concerned officers to resolve immediately and purely on merit. He said this while holding khuli kacheri in the Central police office to listen to the public as well as police official\u2019s issues
\nHe marked two applications of citizens to SSP Investigation and directed him to solve it on merit at a given time frame, He also marked an application against police officials to the internal accountability unit. IGP also sought a report within three hours from a SHO for not registering a complaint against cheque dishonor.
\nWhile listening to police officials\u2019 issues, the IGP granted one month honorarium to the staff of Police Training School. The Islamabad police chief said that it is our prime responsibility to provide protection to the lives and property of the citizens and resolve their problems on priority. He said that citizens at `Open Court\u2019 should be behaved in a respectful manner and their trust on the police department to be won through resolving their issues.
\nHe said that interaction with people also ensures accountability of the policemen and they should address public complaints on merit by considering them their own issues adding that the positive image of policemen should be ensured before them through unbiased approach towards anyone.
\nThe IGP hoped that interaction during `open kacheries\u2019 would help to promote friendly policing.
