\nAdviser to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs, Engr Amir Muqam here Friday directed National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and Immigration and Passport (I&P) authorities in Khyber Pakthunkhwa to provide speedy and quick services to people.
\nPresiding over a high-level meeting here at NADRA Regional Office Hayatabad, Amir Muqam said NADRA was a profitable national organization and great responsibilities rested on its staff to serve people with dedication and professional commitment.
\n\u201cThe main objective of the government is to provide relief to masses at their doorsteps,\u201d he said, adding Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif\u2019s politics revolves around the welfare of masses of Pakistan. \u201cWe have no personal agenda but our mission is quick and uniformed services to people irrespective of political affiliations.\u201d
\nHe said PMLN Quaid Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have special love for people of Khyber Pakthunkhwa as evident from their mega projects including Hazara Motorway, Nawaz Sharif Kidney Hospital Swat and Lowari Tunnel in Chitral.
\nAmir Muqam said Lowari Tunnel had remained incomplete for several decades despite successive governments\u2019 tall announcement for its completion and the credit went to former Prime Minister, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif who provided Rs23 billion for completion of this mega project that brought positive changes in the lives of Chitralis.
\nHe said Hazara Motorway was a gift of PMLN government that made positive impact on trade, business and tourism in Khyber Pakthunkhwa. Muqam took credit of attaining Rs4 billion from Ministry of Finance for construction of Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway that was completed in 2007.
\nOn energy front, he said gas were provided to majority villages of Nowshera and Peshawar\u2019s suburban areas during last government of PMLN, adding record projects were completed at Mathani, Badabair, Urmar, Musazai, Hazarakhwani, Dak Ismail Khel, Cherat, Jalozai, Amankot, Mohib Banda and Pabbi.
\n\u201cAnnouncing development projects is easy but its practical execution was difficult as it required more time and hard-work,\u2019\u2019 he said, adding PMLN was feeling proud to establish a network of motorways in the country.
\nMuqam said that 95percent work on Nadra Registration Centre (NRC) Mathani has been completed and would soon be inaugurated.
\nSohail Jehangir, Director General NADRA KP said that 10 new NRCs at Munda, Mathani, Pir Baba, Torwarsak, DI Khan, Wari, Barol and Abbottabad were ready for inauguration while 31 new were approved besides establishment of 17 NRCs are in pipelines.
\nThe second shift for registration of computerized CNICs has been started in Khyber Pakthunkhwa where new CNICs were being issued to people till 10am, thus reducing load in morning shifts at NRCs.
\nLater, he visited the zonal headquarters of Immigration and Passport Hayatabad and inspected its different sections, one window operation and met with people.
\nMuqam directed Immigration and Passports Offices\u2019 management to establish one new office at Khwazakhela Upper Swat and Takht Bhai Mardan to facilitate its people.
\nHe said problems of shortage of employees at passport offices in Alpuri Shangla, Tank, Upper Dir, Batkhela, Hangu should be immediately addressed and every offices should have at least five staffers.
\nMuqam was told that 32 offices would be upgraded by June next year while 7,111passports were issued between April 14 to May 13, 2022 in Peshawar.
\nHe was told that passport offices at Khyber and Lower Kohistan has been approved that would reduce load in Peshawar and Hazara.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
