\nFemale polio frontline worker, Ms. Ameena Khaskheli, a 40-year-old riding her motorbike for the last twenty years in village Jan Muhammad Khaskheli, Union Council, Manik Leghari, Taluka Matli, and Badin District to supervise her polio teams and vaccinating children from door to door in her area became the symbol of the courage and strength for women of her locality.
\nShe with a strong determination to make Pakistan a polio-free, had been vaccinated 0.3 million children of district Badin to protect them from the dangerous disease of polio and is playing a key role to eradicate polio in district Badin, Sindh.
\nMs. Ameena is the sole breadwinner of her entire family including six her sisters and she did not get married just because she had to support her six sisters and her entire family. She hardly earned some income from her job as health worker which she joined in year 2000.
\nWhether it is cold or hot, rain or floods, in the fight against polio, Ms. Khaskheli has been carrying out her duty for the last many years by vaccinating children from house to house riding her own motorbike.
\nHer given trusted role and responsibilities, Ms, Ameena contributed a lot towards vaccinating the children of her area and across the district and supervising other health interventions, was a role model for others women and said that women health workers are playing most effective role in delivering the duties in their areas and go door to door for getting hundred percentage coverage of children during polio campaign.
\n\u201cDespite hundreds of challenges and issues, I used to travel for miles in a day and hours by riding my motor cycle to reach the children of the area, Ms. Ameena added and saying that I always try and motivate the parents, children and villages representatives, apprising them that we are on a big cause to save the future of our children, Ms. Ameena pleasured. \u201cIt gives me a feeling of pleasure and satisfaction when the people express appreciation of my efforts in improving the health of their children of their areas\u201d she said.
\nDr. Sher Muhammad Nohrio, District Health Officer Badin said that health worker Ms. Ameena Khaskheli is a pride for him and every hard-working polio worker when every person participating in the fight against polio is also proud over her for her hardworking.
\nAgha Shah Nawaz Khan, Deputy Commissioner Badin said that he has proud of the brave polio workers like Ms. Ameena saying that looking at hard work of polio worker Ms. Ameena Khaskheli and others, it can say that we will keep Pakistan polio free soon as possible.
\nOn the occasion, through her work Ms. Ameena wants to give women a message to stay focused on their goal and leave no stone unturned to make their dreams come true saying that women have more strength to do some and are not less than men of their area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
