\nISLAMABAD
\nMinister for Interior Rana Sanaullah said on Wednesday that the riot march will not be allowed to enter Islamabad under any circumstances as the country cannot be left at the mercy of riot groups and miscreants.
\nA meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Interior Minister regarding enhancement of operational capacity of Islamabad Police and Frontier Constabulary.
\nHome Secretary Yousuf Naseem Khokhar along with Commandant Frontier Constabulary Salahuddin Mehsud, IG Police Islamabad, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and others participated in the meeting.
\nThe Interior Minister told the meeting that the country could not be left at the mercy of \u2018Fasadi\u2019 groups and \u2018subversive elements\u2019 while vowing that the government would in no case allow the \u2018Fasadi March\u2019 to enter the federal capital.
\nHe said that the \u2018Evil Marchers\u2019 would be crushed and those who would try to take law into their own hands, they would be deal with an iron hand.
\nRana Sanaullah said that for maintaining law and order, it has been decided to provide more financial, technical resources and legal support to Islamabad Police and Frontier Constabulary while salaries and allowances of police will be made equal to those of Punjab Police.
\nHe said the government has decided to immediately pay the arrears of Rs 1 billion of the Police Martyrs Package while the Frontier Constabulary will also be provided necessary training to use it as an anti-riot force.
\nHe went on to say that for the foolproof security of the federal capital the government intends to modernize Islamabad Safe City in the style of Lahore, and to ensure law and order as well as street crime the coverage of cameras in Islamabad are being increased to 100 percent.
\nThe minister said the federal cabinet has strongly condemned the violence and attacks on police, Rangers and FC personnel by the miscreants of the riot march. He also paid rich tributes to the police, Rangers and FC for handling them professionally and ensuring law and order.
\nHe told the meeting that yesterday the federal cabinet strongly condemned the long marchers\u2019 torture on the officials of police, Rangers and FC. It was decided in the meeting that technical and legal support would be provided to Islamabad police and FC for improving law and order situation in the federal capital.
\nThe meeting also agreed to bring Islamabad police\u2019s salaries and allowances at par with their counterparts in Punjab. The meeting decided to use the Frontier Constabulary as anti-riot police for the help of Islamabad police.
\nThe meeting participants were also agreed to make Islamabad security foolproof by modernizing the Islamabad Safe City project on the pattern of Lahore; and street crimes would be curbed and security and law and order would be maintained after installing CCTV cameras in streets. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
