\nInitiatives are under process to make headquarter hospital, Landi Kotal, a truly useful institution for the ailing segments of the tribal society. Attendance of all ghost health staff will be ensured in two weeks.
\nThis was stated by the newly appointed Medical Superintendent (MS) of HQ Landi Kotal Dr Jamshed Sherani while briefing local media persons here in his office on Tuesday.
\nHe said that as a challenge he accepted the appointment and all initiatives were adopting to further enhance efficiency of the health center in available resources.
\n\u201cAll staff are required to be on duty on time six days a week and no compromise will be made in punctuality,\u201d he opined.
\nRequired nine posts including district specialist posts have been advertised to overcome the problem of deficiency of necessary health experts besides all absent health staff has been directed to ensure their presence on their respective posts within 15 days otherwise departmental action will be taken against them, he remarked.
\nMedical machines and equipments placed in the store rooms since long have been installing in their respective departments to utilize it for welfare of the ailing person, he added and said irregularities being carried out in the hospital since long in term of proxy staff, private practice inside hospital premises, collection illicit money etc. will be curtained.
\nHe maintained that security measures have been improved at the entrances of the health center to ban entry of anti-social elements in it.
\nDr Jamshed said long lasting misery of gyni has been resolved as a female doctor along with other required female staff has been positioned in the labor room to facilitate the visiting women patients round the clock.<\/p>\n
He urged the medical staff, journalists, parliamentarians, councillers and people from different walk of life to assist him in improving capabilities of the hospital.
