\nThe students of Madras will face the Minority Youth Soccer League Cup-2022 which got under way here at Sumbal Khan Football Ground, Qayyum Sports Complex on Wednesday.
\nFormer international footballer and skipper of National team Arshad Khan was the chief guest on this occasion. Former national team skipper Basit Kamal, Haji Hayat UIlah, the organizing secretary of the Soccer Cup, inspector Pakistan Custom and international boxing player Itrat Nazir and a large number of players and spectators were also present.
\nIn the opening match the student team of the students of Madrasa and Youth of Minority played nick to nick wherein the players of both the teams played excellent football which was largely enjoyed by the capacity crowd present on this occasion.
\nThe Madras XI team took three goals lead through Ibrar, Afzal, and Rahat on the field attempt and was tied very quickly by the Minority XI through Ifraz, Javed Iqbal and Sajid Masi on the field attempt. When both the teams were tied 3-3, the teams raided each other\u2019s territory with some fine moves but failed to score any goal and thus the match ended in a 3-3 draw.
\nIn the second match Nowshera Minority defeated Forest College Minority by 6-0. The match started on a fast tempo and Nowshera Minority team dominated the proceedings and defeated Forest College Minority team by a tennis goal match 6-0. Shoukat made a hat-trick, first of the League through field attempts while Afzal, Taimur and Bilal scored one goal each to make the tally 6-0. The team of Minority from Forest College also made some combine moves but failed to click and thus conceded 6 goals, all in the first session.
