In response to a petition submitted against the government high-ups, Additional District and Sessions Judge Mian Mudasar Umar Bodla had directed the Bhati Gate Police Station SHO to register a criminal case against the interior minister, Lahore CCPO, DIG Operations, among others. It had asked the police to proceed against the accused under Section 154 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). However, the order of the district judge was challenged in the high court and was subsequently set aside by the bench.
