\nChief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial has remarked during the hearing of Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui case we want to dispose of case soon as two members of bench will retire in next two months and if the case is not decided then the matter will stand suspended.
\nA five members larger bench of SC presided over by CJP Umar Ata Bandial took up the case for hearing Monday.
\nAt the inception of the hearing CJP remarked we want to complete proceedings on Shaukat Siddiqui petition. Two members of bench will stand retired in next two months and matter will be suspended. It becomes difficult to constitute larger bench due to burden of pending cases. We are here to sit in SC 24 hours. If the respondents say to us to hear the case at 9 pm we are ready to hear the case in SC.
\nHamid Khan counsel for Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui in the beginning of his arguments said my client was not heard during the hearing. My client came to know through media about judicial council report against him It is not known council report was sent to the president under Prime Minister (PM) advice or otherwise. The council relied on former Chief Justice Islamabad High Court (IHC) Anwar Kansi stance in connection with report. Judicial council should have got conducted inquiry on two separate stances. Reference against Anwar Kansi was dropped after he became witness against my client.
\nHe argued the proceedings of three reference was stopped against Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and 4th reference was run. Inquiry was must on the allegations laid down in reference.
