{"id":266633,"date":"2022-06-18T09:03:13","date_gmt":"2022-06-18T04:03:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=266633"},"modified":"2022-06-18T09:03:13","modified_gmt":"2022-06-18T04:03:13","slug":"councilors-demand-restoration-of-2019-lb-act","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/councilors-demand-restoration-of-2019-lb-act\/","title":{"rendered":"Councilors demand restoration of 2019 LB Act"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> KHYBER<br \/>\nNumbers of chairmen and councilors of village and neighborhood councils in Bara demanded of the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP)to revise 2022 Local Bodies(LB) Amendment Act and reinstate the 2019 Act in its original form or they will come on roads against it.<br \/>\nIt is to be stated here that powers of councilors have been restrained by the KP government by passing the amendment LB Act, 2022in the provincial assembly.<br \/>\nLed by the Tehsil chairman Mufti Kafeel large number of the LB representatives from Bara organized a protest rally in front of the local press club to resent the 2022 amendment LB Act.<br \/>\nSpeaking on the occasion Mufti Kafeel,VC chairmen Zahidullah,Haji Shoab,Javed Afridi and others said that the newly amended legislation has been done on dishonesty that has unveiled the hollow claims of the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf((PTI) government to shift powers to lower level.<br \/>\nA five members committee under the chair of Mayer Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali has been constituted that will formulate future strategy against the 2022 LB Act they added and said a case has been already lodged in the court against it.<br \/>\nMembers of National and provincial assemblies are authorized to make laws while representatives of LB are elected to do development works in their respective constituencies, they remarked.<br \/>\nThe protestors maintained that on call of the above-mentioned committee they will commence agitation that will be continued till revision of the anti-councilors Act.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KHYBER Numbers of chairmen and councilors of village and neighborhood councils in Bara demanded of the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP)to revise 2022 Local Bodies(LB) Amendment Act and reinstate the 2019 Act in its original form or they will come on roads against it.
