\nThe Asian Development Bank (ADB) has awarded the \u201cExcellence Award\u201d to the ongoing solar energy project under the Access to Clean Energy Program of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government, said a handout.
\nThe program under the supervision of Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO), a subsidiary of Energy & Power Department; the project is in final stage of completion.
\nSecretary Energy and Power Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah said that the provincial government has achieved another milestone of success in development projects under best strategy and people friendly policy.
\nHe said that the move would have positive impact on the promotion economy and will create opportunities for more jobs in KP.
\nSyed Imtiaz Hussain congratulated Chief Executive PEDO Engr Naeem Khan and members of the project team working on solar energy projects
\nthe Power and Energy Department has been awarded the Excellence Award by the Asian Development Bank for the successful implementation of the project, he added.
\nHe also paid tribute to Chief Minister Mehmood Khan under whose supervision people-friendly projects have been launched for the province, the completion of which would usher in a new era of development in the province.
\nChief Executive PEDO Engr. Naeem Khan thanked the management of the Asian Development Bank for their generous financial support to the provincial government, especially the Department of Energy & Power and its subsidiary PEDO in energy projects to provide electricity to the people of KP.
