The Afghanistan predawn 6.1 magnitude quack killed at least 920 people and left 600 wounded

\nThe leadership of various political parties in Pakistan sent condolence messages to Afghanistan government and people over the deadly 6.1 earthquake that jolted most provinces of the country early on Wednesday and reportedly killed 920 and injured more than 600 people.
\nAfghan media reports claimed that the toll was expected to rise as work on data collection pertaining to death casualties was ongoing in progress at different parts of the country.
\nAccording to media reports while quoting US Geological Survey (USGC) \u201cthe earthquake was the deadliest since 2002 as it struck about 44 km (27 miles) from the southeastern city of Khost, near the border with Pakistan\u201d.
\nIn its message, Prime Minister Sehbaz Sharif said that \u201c Deeply grieved to learn about the earthquake in Afghanistan, resulting in loss of innocent lives. People in Pakistan share the grief & sorrow of their Afghan brethren. Relevant authorities working to support Afghanistan in this time of need\u201d.
\nChairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister Imran expressed his condolences and had asked the provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to especially provide all medical assistance for the people of Afghanistan.
\nIn his message, Chief Minister KP Mahmood Khan expressed the deepest condolences and sympathy and believed that people in the quake-hit areas will return to their normal lives soon.
\nAwami National Party (ANP) central leadership in their messages extended sincere and heartfelt condolences to all those who have suffered loss and bereavement in the earthquake.
\nThe central president of ANP Asfandyar Wali called on the international community and the United Nations to ensure all possible assistance to the quake victims in Afghanistan.
\nPPP central and provincial leadership also expressed deep sorrow and solace for families of those who were killed or injured in the earthquake.
\nDozens of other leaders from KP government and opposition in the provincial assembly also sent condolences to Afghanistan over the quake.
\nThe tremors of the earthquake were also felt in parts of Pakistan. The intensity of tremors struck Peshawar, Islamabad, Lahore, Quetta and several other parts of Pakistan.
\nThe epicenter was about 44 km from Khost city in Afghanistan. However, there were no reports of damages or deaths in Pakistan.
\nThe Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said that so far no loss of life and property has been reported in KP.
\nIt is important to note that this was the third time during the ongoing week that mild tremors were felt in KP and Punjab.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
