Islamabad High Court (IHC) has dismissed the petition from Overseas Pakistanis agaisnt the constitutional amednment on voting procedure.
\nThe case came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by Chief Justice (CJ) Athar Minallah. <\/p>\n
The counsel for the petitioner told the court the right to vote for overseas Pakistanis is accepted but it is not given. The right to vote to overseas Pakistanis will not be given to them till doomsday. Parliament reduced the matter of Overseas Pakistanis vote to zero through ill intent. <\/p>\n
The court while expressing resentment over it remarked the legislation by the parliament cannot be described ill intent. <\/p>\n
The court remarked it is hoped election commission will discharge its constitutional obligations. <\/p>\n
