\nThe English Cricket Board (ECP) and the Warwickshire have announced to probe into complaints made by fans about alleged racist abuse directed at a section of spectators during Day 4 of the rescheduled fifth and final Test between England and India at Edgbaston, it emerged.
\n\u201cWe are very concerned to hear reports of racist abuse at today\u2019s Test match. We are in contacts with colleagues at Edgbaston who will investigate. There is no place for racism in cricket,\u201d a statement by the ECB said on Tuesday.
\nLater, Warwickshire County Cricket Club released a statement, with the chief executive Stuart Cain saying: \u201cI\u2019m gutted by these reports as we\u2019re working hard to make Edgbaston a safe, welcoming environment for all. Having seen the initial tweets, I\u2019ve spoken personally to the gentleman who raised them and we\u2019re now speaking to the stewards in this area to establish what happened.
